Years ago I read a baby name book where it gave the meaning of Leslie as "from the dark hole." Niiiiice, right?
Tonight at a family get together, my niece (who's pregnant) had a baby name book. This book says that Leslie means, "feisty, beautiful, and smart."
Ummmmm, I guess I have a new baby name authority. I LIKE my name now!!!

A perfect name for you!
I think some of these things are hit and miss. Depending on the books you read, you might find you've got about 5 different names possibly.
As for the race, that is hard, and I wouldn't want to try it, just because it wouldn't suit me, but of course I will always respect you immensely for it.
WELl DONE again, and best wishes
:-) :-).
Matt
I would say it fits you ;)
I wonder what mine means...
Hi! Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog! =) And, I'd agree about the name Leslie meaning "feisty, beautiful, and smart." I'd say that fits me pretty well!
I love your name. I actually have considered it if I have a girl in the future because I grew up on Leslie Ave. :)
Great job on the 30K! Love the list of food at the stations.
I like your name and the "new" definition suits you perfectly.
Consider yourself tagged my friend!
Julianne -- Awwww, thanks, blog daughter!
Eileen -- Isn't it funny how our perspective changes. I like your name's meaning too and it's very well suited to you!
Matt -- You are abolutely right about the baby name books. And yeah, running long isn't for everyone, that's for sure. Thanks for the encouragement as always!
Colette -- Yours probably means something wonderful, I would think. :)
Leslie G -- Thanks for stopping by. Our name rocks, doesn't it?
Jen -- What a nice surprise. I didn't grow up on Leslie Lane, but I do have that street sign, which my church friends stole for me when I was in high school. (Yes, I saw the irony even then!) It hangs in my pantry now.
Katie -- Thanks so much!
Kim -- Thanks for the tag. I played and it was fun!
