Reluctantly going down stairs

My parents are starting to have more health problems. Getting older is difficult under any circumstances. Getting older with chronic health problems is kinda like going down into a dark scary basement. You don't want to go down the stairs, but you have no choice. We're heading down those stairs once again. These are the thoughts I hang onto:
  • God knows.
  • God cares even more than I do.
  • My job is to put one foot in front of the other and do the next right thing.
  • And to be kind.

I appreciate it's a hard situation, but you just have to suck it up, and try not to let it get to you.

I'm sure you'll manage to handle anything life throws at you.

You'e a very impressive Lady.

Take care, best wishes and good luck.

:-) :-).

Where ever you are, God is there and all is well. Over and over again in my head is how I often make it through a difficult situation.

Isn't it sometimes SO hard to be kind?! I'm sorry you are going through this. Know you are not alone in your heartache or even the guilt you feel about your thoughts. I've had to tell myself all day today to be kind. It worked...most of the time.

Much love to you!

I remember the years my mom went through these times with my grandma. I know the pain, the stress, the frustrations that she had. God will give you the strength you need...rely on him and just go with it. You are strong and you are NOT alone. This is a part of life that sucks big time.

My prayers are sent your way my friend. I'm sorry you are going through this. If you need an ear, mine are here for you.
