Having teens makes me sad

It's midnight and I can't sleep. The sadness I feel from distant teenage sons is to blame. Someday I'm sure I'll look back and laugh. Right now it just hurts. :(

HUGS!!!

It's just a phase. I think they need to distance themselves right now so they can become young men and eventually move on. Enjoy that every-once-in-a-while hug or thank you they may give at any certain moment. I learned also that if I said anything about it, it just pushed Justin further away, so I just let it be, and I still knew he loved me...this is just part of growing up :)

hang in there, it will get better :)

Don't feel sad about them being far away, feel proud that they are able to do that now and that you have a big part to play in it.

Happiness would be knowing your children were turning out like you.

That's the biggest compliment to you you'll ever get off them. Be happy and know that they will be giving it to you for the rest of your life.

Take care and keep smiling.

:-) :-).

Oh yes, I remember this. It's heartbreaking.
I have "walked" more than one friend through this period in their life. It's God's way of preparing both of you for when the time to move out comes. It sucks, but it does pass.
Just look at me and my daughter now! We're tighter than tight. Hang in there, I promise it will get better. Not quickly, but it will. ;)
