The Pettiness Prayer

The Pettiness Prayer

Keep us, oh God, from pettiness.

Let us be large in thought, in word, in deeds.

Let us be done with fault finding and leave off self-seeking.

May we put away all pettiness and meet each other face to face, without self-pity and prejudice.

May we always be patient, never hasty in judgment and always be tolerant.

Teach us to put into action our better impulses, straight forward and unafraid.

Let us take time for all things, make us calm, serene, and gentle.

Grant that we may realize that it is the little things in life that create differences; that in the big things of life we are as one.

May we strive to touch and to know the great common heart of us all.

And, oh God, let us not forget to be kind.

My plan is to start my day with this prayer each day in the month of June.

I wouldn't be so hard on yourself Leslie. You're human and you cannot be a faultless person all time, where certain things or people are concerned, it's just not possible.

So chin up and I hope thing sort themselves out. Right now you need to be making sure you can stay positive and not let anything take you a step back.

You've done so, so well to come through some emotional difficulties lately, so I hope nothing stops you rising up and saty up.

Good luck and best wishes. You made one little error in a grand scheme of things, you are still an amazing Lady and a great Mother.

:-) :-).
