Tracking exercise

For almost 3 years I've tracked mileage on dailymile, and awesome fitness website, primarily focused on running and cycling. But for the last month or so, I no longer want to log my miles. Part of it is that I'm so enjoying doing other stuff. For example, this week so far I've run 10 miles, done 2 Tracy Long DVDs and done 1 yoga workout. And the DVDs and yoga don't really translate well to dailymile.

But the other reason is that I tried to help some members on the site with a project, and it kind of went sideways. What they needed was taking place while I was on vacation, and I couldn't say yes to what I was asked to contribute to the project. Well, I could have said yes, but it would have felt like selling myself out. I (in a chicken sort of way) sent an email apologizing but saying I couldn't say yes to the request, and I've heard nothing back. So now the site feels kinda scary to me, which is silly, but true.

So does anyone use another fitness tracking site they'd like to recommend? I'd love to know.

CLARIFICATION: No strange interactions occurred on the website. These are people who own a local training business and we met and talked on the phone.

APPRECIATION: Thank you for the suggestions, everyone!

DECISION: I'm going to give DailyBurn a try. If you happen to track fitness there, I'm "ellelives".

Since I got the Garmin back in November, it pretty much does all the tracking for me, but I wasn't using Daily Mile that much until I got the Garmin. I can sync Garmin to Daily Mile, and, of course, it posts to Facebook, where my PT can see what I've done. Right off hand, I don't know how the other sites are, but Daily Mile seems to be the most user friendly.

You might want to check out Daily Burn, which does have an area for tracking workouts, in addition to tracking nutrition and weight, if you want.

Doh - I just reread what I posted... I kind of contradicted what I said, but I hope you find something that works for you. Daily Burn is new for me, too.

Also, I don't think the group is going to go after you or think ill of you for not being there. You were on vacation! They're adults and need to be accountable for themselves. You're a good and caring person. I don't think you need to hide from them, but maybe taking a break from the site for a while is OK. *HUGS*

Ack! I had such a long answer and it got erased. Man I hate it when that happens.

As I was saying. I started using DailyBurn back in April. Very easy to use, but it's more of a food tracking place. There is an area for workouts though.

I've been distancing myself from DB too, but only because I was logging workouts in so many different places. Got a little tedious.

Maybe some people just are to busy to respond, or just don't see the need to. Don't be afraid, but I completely get what you mean because i know I would feel that same way :)

Is there a reason to log anything? Sounds like you are just enjoying different things and keeping your body healthy, unless it makes you more accountable if you log the things you do...I can understand that too ;)

Boy, I wasn't any help here LOL
