50 happy 11 year olds

Here are the three happiest 6th graders who are about to throw the party of the year. FIFTY kids turned out for an evening of dancing, food, limbo, rapping (they had a contest to see who could come up with the best rap about milk!), and Soldia Boy dance offs. The energy was infectious and even the parent chaperones had fun. The DJ (one of the dads) was asked to play "Low" by T-Pain something like 10 times, so now that song is stuck in my head, and I'm smiling every time I hear it. As we left, Tucker declared it was the best night of his life. And that makes every single thing that went into pulling this off WORTH IT! And my prayer is that I can learn from the lessons of being pushed WAY out of my comfort zone, and the blessings that came from it.

Well if you learned you were an amazing parent, that's been obvious for a long time.

If you learned you are a success, and someone who can achieve when under the cosh slightly, that's never been in doubt, when you got certified and started you own business.

I'd say from my perspective, you didn't learn anything about yourself, you just reminded yourself of what you're capable of, by doing what you did.

WELL DONE :-) :-).

Sounds like a HUGE success. I'm so glad that things worked out well. I knew they would. Congrats Mom, you've earned BIG brownie points!

I knew you could do it!! That picture says it all...they are so darn cute!

It's funny, we were hoping that at our party they would play Soulja Boy (we've practiced the dance for two weeks) but they never did :(
I also LOVE "Low". Every time it comes on the radio I'm singing and smacking my butt at the right part ;)

I bet you were the hippest mom there and the energy you give, I know for a fact, is contagious ;)
So happy you had a fun time.

Is this Tucker and his backup singers? How cute are they?? I don't have kids so I know none of this music you speak of - LOL! But I do remember being that age, going to party and we played "Saturday Night" by the Bay City Rollers ten times in a row. How's that for a blast from the past?!
