Melange

  • Wife Swap was really boring to me. I think it's because I was expecting a healthful vs. junk food showdown, and that wasn't what it turned out to be. Oh well...
  • I am in love with my Vita Mix. It's quieter and more powerful than my $29 Costco blender (well duh, right?) and I'm looking forward to making all sorts of yummy things with it.
  • This is my first week of no boxing camp, and it's so much easier to get my running miles in. The great thing about doing boxing camp for five months is that I'm now a confirmed morning exerciser, something I'd always wanted to be. This morning I was up at 5:30, out the door running by 6:00 and had 6 miles done before it was time to get the kids up for school -- sweet!
  • I'm having another hungry day, but at least my choices have been good ones.
  • Three weeks from today we'll be in HAWAII!!!

Good for you getting those miles in before the kids get up. I am not a morning person, so I have to wait until Ash goes to school, then I work out ;)

I have not tried the smoothie yet. This weekend I will give it a try though.

Hawaii!! Lucky you!

I also love that we are on the same road and getting similar relults. Feels so good, doesn't it ;)

Have a great trip. Where in Hawaii are you going?

I went in 1989 during my spring break, Banzai Pipeline on the main islan Oahu, was one of the coolest places I have ever seen. The waves really do look like they did on the opening credits of Hawaii five o. I did not dare go in the water but got my pic taken many years ago next to the sign that said to stay out of the water.!

I have some great information that might help you with the hungry days. Above all, listen to your body. It's OK to eat a lot. I think we're taught that deprivation is the answer, but on a diet of fresh F & Vs, we really can soak in the abundance of God's perfect food -- without restriction.

SunDrenchers can also help you feel like you're eating "real" food because they're so flavorful. They make me feel really satisfied. Have you tried using any homemade, raw dressings?
