Halloween-ish running garb

I'm heading out for a 5 mile run, and decided to wear something to match the season. At Four Bridges, they were selling last year's shirts for $2, so I picked one up. And when paired with my CWX running tights, which look like they have spider webs on them (kind of, if you squint), I think it makes me look rather festive, don't you?

Reason for silly running clothes? I feel kinda down today. Parenting is hard and I don't see any relief on the horizon. So what's a mom to do? That's right -- you suit up and show up. In my case that means putting on Halloween-ish running clothes and getting out there and running.

That's cute!! Yeah I hear you, and I'm not anywhere near the REALLY challenging years with the kids *sigh* Ohh the things to look forward to. GAH!

Leslie! You are so cute. And how awesome is that you got a running shirt for $2?!?!

Hang in there. I think you're a great mom (both in real life on in cyberspace)!!! Hang in there. Seriously. You know he'll come around one day.

Cute running clothes!

Parenting is a tough job. Having been through the teen years myself and a few dramas, all I can say is to remind your son that you love him no matter what, and seek counseling if you feel like your family needs it.

Too cute! Anything to pick ya up will help a little.

Go have a great run-clear your mind and that will help a bit.

I'll be thinking of you. Try to take it easy.

I'm sure you'll be fine with things. It's probably just an awkward age, and we've all been through those days in the past.

I doubt when I was a teenager I was a straightforward kind of person, that people knew where they were with.

You'll be alright, you're a very special influence on people.

:-) :-).

How cute are you!! I can't believe you got that shirt for only $2...now that's my kind of shopping ;)

Hang in there my friend. He is a teenager who will come back around when he's ready. He lives in a happy, two parent home, and deep down knows how lucky that is. Just keep loving him and letting him know you will always be there for him.

I'm here if you need ANYTHING!

Parenting is hard, and those who disagree may not be doing the great job they think -- at least not when the children are teenagers. It does get better when they grow up and out of the house.

Marcy -- Each stage has its joys and its challenges. Remember, I'm no longer dressing, bathing, or car seating my kids, so in that sense it's way easier! It's just emotionally harder now -- sigh!
