Food for thought

A while back, Stacey posted a blog quiz where you answer questions about your diet and exercise habits, and they tell you what they think you weigh. Her answer was right on. Mine? Not so much! My weight seems to hover in the high 130s most of the time, but my quiz result was 120. And that's been weighing on me (ha!) ever since. I really do want to weigh less. I don't like my number is what it is. I've written about it before, and it's still true. I can recite the "weight is just a number" pledge backwards and forwards, and I really do believe it. Except when I take a test and it feels like I fail cuz I weigh almost 20 pounds more than it thinks I should.

Don't worry -- I'm not gonna lose any sleep over this. Just needed to get it off my chest...

Youi probably lost a few pounds just getting that off your chest!

Love the pics of your training room, it looks great and very efficient.

Also great job on the handstands, they're coming along nicely!

Sugar is bad. I eat alot less of it than I used to, but I'd really like to not eat it period. That's where my downfall is.

Leslie, I can relate BIG TIME!! I too have been in the upper 130's (just happened this past year) and don't like it. At least with you though, you are tight and so in shape. You most likely have muscle, unlike me. You of all people should know that it's the measurements that matter, not the scale...for fit people anyway.

Good job on the hand stands. When my dad (58yrs old)was here for Thanksgiving, he showed the kids that he can still do them, and walk on them!! I remember when he'd go up the stairs on his hands!! Keep up the great work!!

Wow, Colette's dad can walk on his hands at 58. That is something pretty amazing....

But back to Leslie...I think the 120's is where I belong too, even with muscle. But Colette described you as "tight and so in shape"...what a great compliment.

LOVE your gym! Yes weight is just a number though it tends to mean alot more to us women. Those tests don't really mean jack. If so I'd be weighing 145 instead of 130. And for the record I'd rather be 139, fit and muscular than 120 and a twig. Though I haven't seen any recent pictures of you Les I know your a HOTTIE with a GREAT body (wouldn't even begin to think your in your 40's let alone mid 40's)

Totally understandable. There's something very alluring about the 20's... I think it sounds very attractive, as well! Why is that? It's like the ideal #!
