Fighting the good fight

There are 3 very specific things that are helping me in battle of the bulge. Here they are:

1. Apples. Now that I have the healthy temptations out of the house (TLCs and protein bars), apples are a great snack. I've read several articles where the authors think apples do more to help with satiety (feeling full) than most foods do.

2. MET-Rx protein powder with glutamine. I got some at Trader Joe's and I really like it. The only thing is that their serving size is 210 calories and 46 grams of protein, which is a little much for me, so I just use 2 servings.

3. Sugar free gum and diet sodas. Maybe not the most healthful things around, but right now it's 11:10 and I'm tired, and without a diet soda and some gum, I'm positive I'd be munching.

G'night all!

I love apples!! They truely do work in fighting that sweet tooth and hunger. I always keep one with me when I'm going out and about...that and a water bottle ;)

I enjoyed your pet peeves too...very good ones for sure! Have you tried that nail salon next to Kohls?? It's very nice and friendly. I couldn't imagen them doing that to anyone!

Have a super day!!

What bulge. From what I've seen the only bulge you should have is your purse, brimming with well earned and deserved payments from business clients ;-) ;-).

I hope you're having a great day. Keep on being you. You are a wonderful person.

:-) :-).

Amen to sugar free gum. I just got hit with major sugar cravings despite the sweet orange I just had with meal 3, so I am chomping on some very sweet sugar free gum to quell the craving. It's making me happy! :)

46 grams of protein? Is that stuff expensive? That sounds like a good post workout mix. I'll look into it. I also want to say thanks for commenting on my blog. I do appreciate it.
